Sodus Central School District staff, parents, and community partners:
As you know, Nelson Kise will retire in August. On behalf of the entire Board of Education, we want to take a moment to share the next steps in selecting Sodus's next leader.
The Board is seeking your input to identify the qualities and characteristics that are most important in our next District Superintendent.
To share your thoughts, please complete this confidential survey by Friday, April 24th: SURVEY LINK.
The Board of Education has chosen Dr. Cathy Hauber, District Superintendent of Monroe One BOCES and Interim District Superintendent for Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES, as our consultant to guide the search process.
The Board met with Dr. Hauber earlier this month to begin our planning. After careful discussion, we have decided to conduct a confidential process to ensure a thorough and thoughtful selection that will attract the highest level of candidates.
Dr. Hauber will host informational sessions for any interested staff and school community partners.
Sessions will provide an opportunity for discussion similar to the survey prompts, outline the timeline, and explain key aspects of the selection process. This will be the time to voice any questions and give input on the ongoing search.
You can expect information from Dr. Hauber soon regarding the upcoming informational sessions.
Selecting the next Superintendent is a responsibility we take seriously, and we value your input in this process. Thank you for all you do for our organization and region!
Jason Walters
Board President
